Pity to see Gerry Garvey lose out! I was elected with Gerry
in 1999 and I have to say he was a Councillor I admired.
Gerry was big into Regional
Roads and other forms of infrastructure. An intelligent Councillor I’d say he’ll
be missed. Until this year a lot of his neighbours were unable to vote for him
because of the nearness of the Strokestown border to him!

strength this election really damaged Garvey as no Elphin votes were available!
Elphin voted Elphin!
Anyway Gerry will be busy might even play a bit of Junior B
for Kilmore!!!
